Its your girl Amber and today’s blog is about if you are becoming natural or simply trying to find a way to take care of your natural hair properly. Most people get the misconception that having natural hair is the hardest thing in the world but hopefully this starter kit can relieve your worries. First there are a few simple tips you need to know as a natural.
- Learn your hair’s porosity which is how well your hair absorbs moisture! Trust me, it will refrain you from spending to much money on hair product
- Only use heat every once in awhile because we are trying to keep your curl pattern not lose it!
- Stay consistent with a regimen because Consistency= Growth!
Now that those tips are out the way , you should have some idea of natural hair now. Here below is a list of things you should have for your starter kit to becoming natural.
- Wide Tooth Comb
- Denman Brush
- Soft Brush for Edges
- 1 Clarifying Shampoo/1 Moisturizing Shampoo
- DEEP CONDITIONER!!!
Above, is just a list of the many things you will need clean, protect, and grow your hair. Now that your hair is clean and conditioned, you also need to keep in that moisture as well. Many methods include the LOC method or the LCO method. The L stands for either a Liquid or Leave-in conditioner, O stands for Oil such as coconut or olive oil and the C stands for a cream. The hair cream can be a curl enhancing cream which enhances your curls even more. While the LCO method is a Leave-In, a Cream and then an oil. In my opinion for my 3C/4A coils this method work better for me because I am able to seal in the moisture at the end for a clean finish.
